Employees are able to clock outside their geolocation

This article shows you how to prevent employees from clocking outside their assigned geolocation by enabling the relevant menu option.

You can control whether employees are allowed to clock only within their assigned geolocation by updating the menu profile settings in the Portal. This guide explains how to enable the Clockings > Get geofencing option to enforce this restriction.

⚠️Important: This setting only affects users who are assigned to a geolocation group. Employees not assigned to a geofence group will not be impacted.

Enable geofencing in the Portal menu profile

  1. In the Portal, navigate to Security and select Menu Profile.

  2. Search for the relevant menu profile, for example, COREPORTAL_EMPLOYEE.

  3. Click the ellipsis (...) next to the profile and select Manage Menu Options.

  4. Search for WS_CLOCKINGS_MENU.GET_GEOFENCING.

  5. Enable the menu option Clockings > Get geofencing.

  6. Save your changes.

Once this option is enabled, all users assigned to this menu profile who also belong to a geolocation group will only be able to clock within their designated area.
