Error: 'You are not rostered to work on this day' when applying for leave

Employee unable to apply for leave request in CorePortal.

There are four possible causes for this error. To fix this, follow the causes and resolutions below.

The employee has no shift type attached.

To resolve this, assign a shift to the employee.


Day in question falls on a CoreTime Period that was not configured correctly.

To ensure that the period is correct, follow the steps below.

  1. Click CoreTime, then click System Params.

  2. Click Calendars, then click System Calendars.

  3. Click the Question mark symbol, then click the relevant company.

  4. Edit the week in question to the correct value. (E.g. change from 11-FEB-2015 to 11-FEB-2016)

  5. Click Save.


Unrostered Booking functionality is not configured correctly

Assuming Unrostered Booking is allowed (i.e. customer has an active Roster license). To configure this, follow the steps below.

  1. Click CoreTime, then click System Params.

  2. Click Reference A-C, then click Control Parameters.

  3. Click the Question mark symbol, then click the relevant company.

  4. Under Select Detail, click Contract Hours, then tick the Allow Functionality and the Enable Functionality check boxes to enable the options.

  5. Click Save.


Bank Holiday Scheme doesn't have the RFA (Record Future Absence) option enabled

To enable this option, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, click WFM Admin Dashboard, then click WFM Configuration.

  2. Click Bank Holiday Schemes, then next to the relevant scheme, click the three-dot menu.

  3. Click View, then next to the relevant bank holiday, turn on the Allow RFA toggle to enable the option.

  4. Click Save.


System Calendar is not extended until the day the employee is applying for leave.

To resolve this, extend the system calendar.
