If you attempt to enter an absence detail record in Back Office and the following error message appears, it's because the employee has no work pattern or shift type for the date in question.
To resolve this, weโve compiled a list of possible causes and how to resolve them.
Check work pattern assigned
Ensure the employee has a valid work pattern assigned for the sickness dates. To check this, follow the steps below.
From the dashboard menu, select People Management.
Click Dashboard then beside Employees, click VIEW.
In the Search field, search for the employee, then click VIEW or EDIT.
Click Change Work Schedule then update the Date Effective field.
Click SAVE.
๐The error message can also occur if the user ( the person who is trying to enter the Absence ) does not have the configuration 'Ignore Data Entry Restriction' enabled on their WFM System user account
Enable Ignore data entry restriction
To enable the Ignore data entry restriction for a user, follow the steps below.
Click System Params then click System Users.
Search the employee with Access type- MSS (Manager Self Service- used for Portal).
Click Access Privileges then enable Ignore Data Entry Restriction.
System calendar
The system calendar is not extended to cover the day for which the employee is applying for leave.

To resolve this, the system calendar needs to be extended for the year for which the employee is applying for leave request.
