How to Assign Non Group Payroll Codes (NGPC) to Employees or Work Groups

We have Employees/Work Groups who we want to assign Non Group Payroll Codes

Purpose

Non Group Payroll Codes (NGPC) are used to control which payroll codes are excluded or skipped when generating timesheets for specific employees or groups.

⚠️ Important: Assigning an NGPC directly to a Work Group will impact all employees in that group. If you have a mix of salaried and non-salaried employees in the same group, it is recommended to assign NGPCs at the employee level.


Viewing and Managing NGPCs

Back Office Steps

  1. Go to CoreTime

  2. Click System Params

  3. Select Ref D to J

  4. Open Group Non Payroll Codes Menu

  5. Click Payroll Codes – Group Non Payroll Code Details

  6. Query the relevant NGPC

  7. Add or remove pay codes as required


Assigning NGPC to an Employee (Recommended for Mixed Work Groups)

Portal Steps

  1. Go to WFM Admin Dashboard

  2. Click Person Maintenance

  3. Search for and select the employee

  4. Click View

  5. Select Work Group Override

  6. For Non Payroll Group Code, click the ellipsis (...)

  7. Select Edit Override

  8. Assign the relevant NGPC

  9. Click Save


Assigning NGPC to a Work Group

Only use this if all employees in the work group should have the same NGPC applied.

Portal Steps

  1. Go to WFM Admin Dashboard

  2. Click Configuration

  3. Select Work Groups

  4. Search for the relevant Work Group and click View/Edit

  5. Select Group Codes

  6. Assign the relevant NGPC

  7. Click Save
