Set up the Employee Calendar to control how events, pay codes, and colours display for different user types in Workforce Management.
You can configure the Employee Calendar in Workforce Management to customise how calendar events display for your employees. This includes setting start days, choosing calendar formats, assigning colours to events, and managing which pay codes appear on the calendar for different user types.
By following the steps below, you can ensure the Employee Calendar is configured to meet your organisation's needs.
Configure Global Calendar Settings
Global Calendar Settings control the general layout of the calendar and how the calendar displays across your organisation.
To configure the Global Calendar Settings:
In the Global Calendar Setting section, use the drop-down menus to set up the calendar.
Choose the calendar Start Day.
Select whether the calendar uses Rolling months or Fixed months.
Use the Colour selectors to set colours for different calendar sections.
Your changes will save automatically and appear on the Employee Calendar.
Configure Pay Code Settings
Use the Pay Code Settings tab to choose which pay codes display on the Employee Calendar and assign colours to them.
To set up pay codes:
Click the Pay Code Settings tab.
Search for the pay code you want to add to the calendar.
Use the toggles to enable the user types who should see the pay code when viewing an employee's calendar.
In the Colour column, choose the colour that will display for this pay code.
Repeat these steps for each pay code you want to display.
Once enabled, the selected pay codes will appear on the relevant User Type Pay Codes tabs.
Manage pay codes and calendar events by user type
You can manage which pay codes and calendar events display for each user type.
To do this:
From the User Type Pay Codes tabs, click Add if you need to directly assign additional pay codes for a specific user type.
For each user type, enable the Calendar Events you want to display when that user views the Employee Calendar.
Review your configuration
Once youโve completed the steps, the Employee Calendar will display the configured pay codes and calendar events for all selected user types.
