Pay code not calculating on rest days

Learn how to configure a pay code so it calculates correctly on rest days in the WFM system.

If a pay code is not calculating on rest days, it’s usually because the correct configuration is missing in the Rest Day Absences settings.

You can resolve this by updating the pay code in the WFM Admin Dashboard and linking it to the Global Rest Day Absence Pay Code.

How to enable a pay code to calculate on rest days

Follow the steps below to configure the pay code:

  1. From the dashboard menu, go to the WFM Admin Dashboard.

  2. Click WFM Configuration.

  3. Select Pay Codes.

  4. Next to the relevant pay code, click the three-dot menu.

  5. Click View/Edit Pay Code.

  6. Select Rest Day Absences from the menu on the left.

  7. Tick the option Apply Work Pattern Default Hours.

  8. For Global Rest Day Absence Pay Code, select the same pay code.

  9. Click Save.


Once saved, the pay code will calculate correctly on rest days.
