Sometimes you may need to adjust an employee’s schedule for a single day — for example, to cover a shift swap or temporary change in duties. Portal allows you to update the pattern for a specific date while keeping the employee’s normal schedule unchanged.
⚠️ Important: This change only applies to the specific day you select. The employee’s regular schedule pattern remains unchanged for all other days.
Use this process for one-off schedule changes only, not long-term pattern updates.

Reviewing any related processes such as payroll, absence management, or balances
Update a single day using WFM Person Maintenance
Follow these steps to update the employee’s schedule for one day.
From the WFM Admin Dashboard, select WFM Person Maintenance.
Use the search function to find the employee.
Open the three-dot menu next to the employee’s name and select Timesheet.
Click Actions, then select Weekly Work Schedule.
Navigate to the week that contains the day you want to change.
In the Pattern field for the relevant day, click to edit.
Select the new pattern or shift.
Move away from the field to automatically save the change.
Alternative method: update from Roster Details
You can also update the schedule directly from the roster view.
From the WFM Dashboard, select Roster Details.
Select the day you want to change.
Click Change Roster.
In the Change Roster screen, select the pattern you want the employee to work.
Click Save.
