There are three possible causes of this issue.

User does not have enough entitlement on the affecting balance

Resolution: Ensure there is enough entitlement on the affected balance(s) to record the leave. To view the existing entitlement on Back-Office, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to CoreTime

  2. Click on Pers Data

  3. Select Person Maintenance

  4. Query the employee

  5. Click on Current Balances

Affecting Code is attached to another Balance that doesn't have enough entitlement

Ensure that all Balances activated have the required entitlement to book off leave.

πŸ“Œ Note: Balances activated against the affected employee may be marked as Hide on Core Time.

To view hidden balances, please ensure the user querying has the See Hidden Balances Access Privilege turned on. To check this on Back-Office, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to CoreTime

  2. Click on System Params

  3. Select System Users

  4. Query the employee

  5. Click on Access Privileges

There is a reserved entitlement value on the balance in error

Resolution: Complete a manual balance adjustment to reverse the Reserved Entitlement.

πŸ“Œ Note: If the manager gets the error while trying to action the leave request for the employee, it can be a timing issue where the employee has send multiple leave requests for different days and approving any of them has updated the overall balance and now, the employee does not have sufficient balance why is the error occurs
