An employee from another work group appears on the Daily Clocking Hours report

A user can see an employee on the Daily Clocking Hours report even when the user has no access to that employee's work group.

Why the employee appears

Access to the employee comes from the cost centre on the hours in the timesheet, not from the work group. If that cost centre is selected on the report, the employee appears. An employee who has moved work group can still have hours recorded against the old cost centre.

Check why the employee appears

  1. Open the employee's timesheet and check the cost centre the hours are recorded against.

  2. Open the Daily Clocking Hours report and check which cost centres are selected before the report runs.

  3. Check the work group access the user has in WFM System User Configuration.

  4. Check when the employee's work group changed, and whether the change was backdated.

📌Note: You can ask the user to send a screenshot of what is selected on the report before it runs. This shows the cost centres and the other options the report uses.
