Use the Manager Actions row menu in EVO Roster

How to use the Manager Actions row menu in EVO Roster to edit shifts, record absences, manage availability, change team area assignments, and more for individual employees.

Written by James Pardy

Each employee row in the EVO Roster grid has a three-dot menu you can open to act on that employee's schedule. The actions available to you depend on your access permissions.

Available actions

The table below describes each menu item and what it does.

Menu item

What it does

Edit Shifts or Add Shift

Opens the shift editing panel where you can change shift patterns, start and end times, qualifications, team area overrides, and roster attributes for the selected day. The label changes to Add Shift when the employee has no shifts scheduled.

Absences

Opens the Absences screen for the employee, allowing you to view or record absences.

Availability

Opens the Availability (Contract) screen to view and manage the employee's availability and contract details.

Team Area

Opens the Team Area assignment screen to view or change the employee's team area assignments.

Shift Change

Opens the Shift Change screen for the employee.

Timesheet Input

Opens the Manager Timesheet Entry screen for the employee. Only visible if configured by your administrator.

Permissions

Edit Shifts or Add Shift, Availability, and Team Area each require only their own menu permission to appear. Absences, Shift Change, and Timesheet Input each require their menu permission plus one additional permission.

Menu item

Additional permission required

Absences

Hide Absence on Roster Details must not be set. This permission, when granted, actively hides Absences from the menu regardless of the main Absences permission.

Shift Change

The legacy CorePortal - Change Work Schedule permission is also required. Both must be granted for the item to appear.

Timesheet Input

Either CorePortal - Timesheet Input V2 or CorePortal - Timesheet Input V2 Employee must also be granted. Both the new and legacy permissions are required for the item to appear.

📌Note: If you are migrating from the old Roster Details screen, the legacy permissions carry over, but the new menu options still need to be actively granted. Migration does not grant the new permissions automatically.
