EVO Roster overview

An overview of the Roster Details screen in EVO XD Workforce Management, including its view modes, screen layout, and timeline colour coding.

Written by James Pardy

The Roster Details screen is the primary scheduling screen in EVO XD Workforce Management. You can use it to plan, edit, and publish rosters for your team areas. It has two view modes — Weekly View and Daily View — so you can manage your roster at both a high level and a day-by-day level.

View modes

The Roster Details screen gives you two ways to view and manage your roster.

Weekly View

Weekly View displays the full roster period with one column per day and one row per employee, showing each employee's work pattern. Use this view to spot gaps or patterns across the week before drilling into a specific day.

Daily View

Daily View displays a scrollable 24-hour timeline showing when each employee is rostered to work, when they are scheduled for breaks, and any absences or task assignments for the selected day.

Screen layout

The screen is divided into three main areas.

Control Bar

The Control Bar runs across the top of the screen and contains the following:

  • Team Area selector.

  • Period selector.

  • View Mode toggle.

  • Day selector (Daily View only) or optimisation badge (Weekly View).

  • Status, publishing, and notifications.

  • Actions menu.

Filter Bar

The Filter Bar sits below the Control Bar and contains the following options:

  • Search.

  • Manage Columns.

  • Sort and Filter.

  • Group By.

  • Show Budgets.

  • Show Demand.

  • Tasks.

Schedule Grid

The Schedule Grid is the main area of the screen. It shows the employee list on the left, with either the 7-day grid (Weekly View) or the 24-hour timeline (Daily View) on the right.

Timeline colour key

In Daily View, the 24-hour timeline uses colour coding so you can identify different schedule elements at a glance.
