In PeopleXD Workforce Management, the Work Pattern drop-down list in Shift Type may not work as expected when you are creating a new work pattern or assigning days to a shift type. You may also find that you cannot assign a personal override because the drop-down list has no values to display.
This usually happens when the employee’s CoreTime system user account is missing a required access setting.
Before you start
Make sure:
the employee has a System User record with Access Type: MSS
you have access to update system parameters in Back office
Fix the issue when creating a new work pattern for a shift type
When you cannot select a work pattern while setting up a shift type, check whether the user has No Data Entry Restriction enabled.
To enable No Data Entry Restriction in Back office
Go to CoreTime.
Select System Params.
Click System Users.
Query the employee with Access Type: MSS.
If the user is not present, create a new record using the employee number as the username, then save.
Select Access Privileges.
Enable No Data Entry Restriction.
Click Save.
🤓Tip: If the employee does not already have a system user account, you must create it before you can apply the required access privileges.
Fix the issue when assigning a personal override to a shift type
When you cannot assign a personal override because the drop-down list is blank, check whether the user has No Pattern Type Restriction enabled.
To enable No Pattern Type Restriction in Back office
Go to CoreTime.
Select System Params.
Click System Users.
Query the employee with Access Type: MSS.
If the user is not present, create a new record using the employee number as the username, then save.
Select Pattern Type Access.
Enable No Pattern Type Restriction.
Click Save.
Result
After the relevant restriction is removed, the Work Pattern drop-down list should display available values correctly in Shift Type, and you should be able to assign a personal override where needed.
