Floating Entitlement for re-hired employee is incorrect

Issue:

When an employee is re-hired within the same Annual Leave period, their entitlement calculation may not prorate based on their new joining date. Instead, the system prorates the period during which the employee was not employed.

For example:

  • Annual Leave Balance period: 1st January to 31st December 2022

  • Employee re-joined on 19th September 2022

  • The system prorates the gap period from 13th May to 19th September 2022, rather than calculating entitlement from the re-join date.

Resolution

You will need to manually adjust the employeeโ€™s balance to reflect the correct entitlement.

Steps to perform a Manual Balance Adjustment:

  1. Go to People Management Dashboard > Command Centre.

  2. Click View next to Employees.

  3. Search for and select the relevant employee, then click View.

  4. Navigate to the Balances tab.

  5. Locate the relevant balance and click the 3-dot menu, then select Balance Adjustment.

  6. Enter the adjustment details:

    • Effective date

    • Affecting element

    • Adjustment amount

    • Reason for adjustment

  7. Click Save to apply the manual adjustment.
