Floating entitlement doesn't pro-rate based on target end date

A Target End Date has been added to an employee's appointment in CorePersonnel but their Floating Entitlement isn't pro-rating

If the floating entitlement balance does not pro-rate based on an employee’s Target End Date, it is likely because the balance settings are not configured to apply the Target End Date.

Resolution steps

  1. Open CoreTime and go to System Params.

  2. Click Balances.

  3. Select Parameters.

  4. From the List of Values, select the relevant balance (floating entitlement).

  5. Click Advanced Parameters.

  6. Enable Apply Target End Date by ticking the checkbox.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Run a Balance Recalculation to update floating entitlements for employees who have a Target End Date.


This will ensure floating entitlement balances correctly pro-rate for employees with a Target End Date.
