When deleting an absence record in the Portal for a historic period, you might see this error message:
'Entry/Modification/Deletion of the data during this period is restricted...'
This happens because the system is set to block changes to data from past periods to protect payroll integrity. However, you can resolve this by enabling the Ignore Data Entry Restriction access privilege for the relevant user.
How to enable the Ignore Data Entry Restriction access privilege
Follow these steps to update the userβs access:
From the dashboard menu, click WFM Admin Dashboard.
Click WFM Configuration.
Click WFM System Users Configuration.
Find the relevant employee and click the three-dot menu next to their name.
Select View/Edit.
Click Access Privileges.
Enable the checkbox for Ignore Data Entry Restriction.
Click Save.
What happens next?
Once this privilege is enabled, the user will be able to delete historic absences in the Portal without receiving the restriction error.
π Note: Be cautious when deleting historic data, as this can affect payroll records or reporting.
