You must extend the system calendar before you can extend non-cycle shifts. If you don't update the calendar, employees can't submit leave requests, managers can't record absences, and timesheet calculations become incorrect.

To extend the system calendar and ensure employees can submit leave requests, watch the video or follow the steps below.

You can extend non-cycle shifts on the WFM Year End Tasks screen and the WFM Admin Dashboard.

WFM Year End Tasks

  1. On the WFM Admin Dashboard, click the WFM Year End Tasks tab.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the Extend Non-Cycle Shifts task.

  3. Select View, then search for the relevant Shift Code and click View.

  4. Click Shift Patterns, then click Generate Period.

  5. Select the From Period and To Period from the drop-down lists.

  6. In the Copy periods into section, select the From Period and To Period.

  7. Click OK, then click Save.

  8. Repeat steps 3 to 7 for all to extend all non-cycle shifts.
