To give users access to work groups and departments, you need to first add the work group or department to the user and then grant their access.
This includes permissions for viewing employee calendars, which are determined by the assigned Work Group and Department combinations.
To do this, follow the steps in each section below in order.
Add Work Groups or Departments for Calendar Access
From the dashboard menu, click WFM Admin Dashboard.
Click WFM Configuration then select WFM System User Configuration.
Next to the relevant employee, click the three-dot menu.
Select View/Edit then select the company.
Click Access Details then add the relevant work groups and departments.
Click Save.
Grant access
If you're a super user, you can grant access to all work groups and department combinations. To do this, follow the steps below.
This also applies to granting permissions for viewing employee calendars.
From the dashboard menu, click WFM Admin Dashboard.
Click WFM Configuration then select WFM System User Configuration.
Next to the relevant employee, click the three-dot menu.
Select View/Edit then select the company.
Click Access Details then click Actions.
Select Access All Groups / Departments.
Limitations of Calendar Access Control
It is important to note the following limitation when managing calendar access:
Inability to Restrict Calendar-Only Access: The system does not allow restricting access solely to calendars. If a user has access to other dashboards, such as People Management or Payroll, they may also view sensitive information like salary details. To limit visibility, you must control the user’s broader dashboard and data access permissions.
