SmartRoster provides two additional views for reviewing and auditing roster decisions: the AI Suggestions overlay on the weekly roster view, and the Audit tab which records all changes made to the roster.
View AI suggestions on the roster
The Roster agent's suggestions can be displayed as an overlay on the weekly Roster Details view. This allows managers to see suggested changes in the context of the full roster rather than as a separate list.
Open Roster Details for the relevant team area and week.
Turn on the AI Suggestions toggle.
Suggested changes are displayed as highlighted shifts on the roster grid.
Select a highlighted shift to view the recommendation detail and accept or reject it from within the roster view.
đNote: The AI Suggestions toggle is only available when SmartRoster has been run for the selected team area and period and recommendations are pending.
Audit tab
The Audit tab records every change made to the roster during the SmartRoster process. It provides a chronological history of changes and a process timeline showing each stage of the SmartRoster run.
Audit history
The audit history lists every roster change made during the period, including changes made by the manager manually, changes applied from Roster agent recommendations, and changes made by OR-Tools during generation.
Each entry shows the employee name, the change type, the shift affected, and the date and time of the change.
You can filter the audit history by change type or by employee.
The audit history is read-only and cannot be edited.
Roster changes table
Below the audit history, the Roster Changes table provides a structured summary of all shift-level changes made during the roster period, displayed in a tabular format for easy comparison.
Process timeline
The process timeline displays each stage of the most recent SmartRoster run for the selected team area and period. Stages include roster generation, Roster agent analysis, recommendation generation, and any accepted or rejected recommendations.
đNote: The process timeline reflects the most recent SmartRoster run only. If SmartRoster is run again for the same team area and period, the timeline updates to show the new run.
