EVO Roster FAQs — Day and Weekly View

Answers to common questions about using EVO Roster Day and Weekly View, including column visibility, optimisation percentages, missing features, and permissions.

Written by James Pardy

The following answers cover the most common questions about using EVO Roster Day and Weekly View.

Column visibility

Why do I see different columns in Manage Columns than another manager?

The columns available in Manage Columns are configured system-wide by an administrator and can vary from site to site. What you see may not match what a manager at a different site or on a different environment sees.

I unticked a column in Manage Columns and now I cannot find it. Where did it go?

Unticking a column only hides it from your own view. Open Manage Columns and tick it again to bring it back. Your selection is remembered in your browser.

A column I need is not listed in Manage Columns at all. Can I get it back?

No, not yourself. If a column does not appear in the list at all, it has been switched off system-wide by an administrator. This is different from unticking a column (which you can always re-tick) and can only be changed by your administrator.

Optimisation percentages

Why does Weekly View show two different optimisation percentages?

The badge in the Control Bar summarises the whole week, and each day column header shows that day's own score. Both are shown at the same time — one does not replace the other. See the Optimisation Percentage article for full details on how the score is calculated.

Missing features

I had Shift Change or Timesheet Input on the old screen. Why is it not showing on the new Roster Details screen?

These two items require both the new menu option and a matching legacy permission from the old screen. If you are migrating from the old screen, having the legacy permission alone is not enough — the new menu option must also be actively granted by your administrator.

Permissions

Why can everyone see Show Demand, but not everyone sees Tasks?

Show Demand has no permission attached and is visible to all users. The Tasks button is controlled by the Roster Task Access menu option and is hidden entirely for anyone without it. Contact your administrator if you cannot see Tasks.

What is the difference between Change Schedule and editing a shift from the row menu?

Change Schedule, available in Weekly View only, lets you apply the same change across multiple shifts at once using a guided, template-based flow. Editing a shift from the Manager Actions row menu only affects that one employee's shift on the selected day.
