You can adjust your Compensatory Leave Balance settings to control how days are calculated and when employees are eligible to receive them. Follow the steps below for each configuration.
Configure the Use Auxiliary Pattern for Days balance setting
To ensure absences are calculated correctly against an employee's working pattern, navigate to the relevant Compensatory Leave Balance settings and enable the following parameter:

⚠️Important: Without this enabled, the system uses the DEFDAY default of 8.00 hours. If an absence is recorded with a different duration (for example, 9.15 hours), the balance is incorrectly inflated — displaying as 1.16 days instead of 1 day.
Prevent employees receiving Compensatory Days outside their employment dates
To ensure employees are only awarded Compensatory Days within their period of employment, enable the following parameter on all relevant Compensatory Leave Balances:

📌Note: This prevents employees being awarded a Compensatory Day for Bank Holidays that fall before their employment start date or after their employment end date.
