Add a new department to your organisation's structure

Create new reference data, such as departments, and add them to your organisation structure.

To reflect changes in your company, you can update your organisation structure, for example, to create a new department. To do this in PeopleXD Workforce Management, you need to create the relevant reference data, then update your structure setup.

Create a new department

To create a department, watch the video or follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, click WFM Admin Dashboard.

  2. Click WFM Configuration then click Departments.

  3. Click Add then fill in the required fields.

  4. Turn on the Active toggle then click Save.

πŸ“ŒNote: When you turn on the Sensitive Unit toggle, you need to grant additional access.

To access the Departments screen in PeopleXD Workforce Management, you need to add the following menu options to a menu profile.

Add a department to your organisation structure

After creating your new department, you need to add it to your organisation structure. To do this, watch the video ​or follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Data Centre.

  2. Click VIEW ALL, then click Structure Setup.

  3. Search for the relevant structure, then click HIERARCHY.

  4. Click EXPAND ALL, then search for the relevant hierarchy item.

  5. Click the three-dot menu, then select Add.

  6. From the filter list, select Include Linked Items.

  7. Search for the reference data, then turn on the Add to Hierarchy toggle.

  8. Click SAVE.
