This guide explains how to resolve an issue where an unexplained absence is generated on a day when annual leave has been recorded using Maintain Hours.
Why this happens
This occurs when the Effect Basic setting is not enabled on the pay code. Without this setting, the system does not treat the annual leave as time worked, which results in an unexplained absence flag.
How to resolve the issue in Back Office
Go to CoreTime.
Select System Params.
Click Pay Code.
Query the Pay Code in question.
Select the General 2 tab.
Enable the Effect Basic checkbox.
Click Save.
How to resolve the issue in Portal
Go to the WFM Admin Dashboard.
Select WFM Configuration.
Click Pay Codes.
Search for the relevant pay code, then click View/Edit Pay Code.
Go to the Calculate Settings tab.
Enable the Effect Basic toggle.
Click Save.
