You can ensure your Work Patterns include the necessary breaks by reviewing and adding break details where missing. This guide walks you through the steps to verify and configure breaks in the Portal and Backoffice.
Check and add breaks to a Work Pattern in the Portal
Before starting, confirm you have access to the WFM Admin Dashboard and permission to edit Work Patterns.
Log in to the Portal.
Open the WFM Admin Dashboard.
Select WFM Configuration.
Click on the Work Patterns tile.
Use the search function to find the required Work Pattern.
From the Work Pattern’s 3-dot menu, select View/Edit Work Pattern.
Click the Breaks tab.
Click Add.
Enter the break details as required.
Click Save.
Add breaks to a Work Pattern in Backoffice
Make sure you have the appropriate permissions to modify Work Patterns in CoreTime.
Log in to CoreTime.
Navigate to System Params.
Select Work Patterns.
Choose the Work Pattern from the List Of Values (LOV).
Select the Breaks tab.
Add a new row to enter break details.
Click Save.
If breaks are not added to the Work Pattern, employees may not have scheduled break times, which could affect payroll or attendance calculations.
