Check if this is the cause
This issue applies when all of the following are true:
The employee's balance shows fewer days than the standard entitlement, for example, 27 days reduced to a lower prorated figure.
The employee isn't leaving the organisation.
The Allowances section under Current Salary shows no allowance record, or the allowance figure doesn't explain the reduction.
đNote: The annualised allowance is a display-only value. It isn't the cause of this reduction.
Find the FTE Adjustment
Open the employee's balance, then check for an FTE Adjustment entry. It looks similar to this:
FTE Adjustment: 03-JUN-26 to 31-DEC-26 @ 100% (212/365 days)
This adjustment is driven by a leave date on the employee record, which comes from the employee's target end date. The balance reduces because its configuration has Apply Target End Date enabled. When this setting is enabled, any target end date on the employee record applies to that balance, even when the employee isn't leaving.
Resolution options
Choose one of the following options:
Remove the target end date from the employee record if it shouldn't be there.
Change the Apply Target End Date setting on the balance. This affects everyone assigned to that balance.
â ď¸Important: Test any change to the Apply Target End Date setting in user acceptance testing (UAT) first. The change affects everyone assigned to that balance.
Find the FTE Exceptions setting
Balance Configuration sits in Workforce Management (WFM), not People Management.
â ď¸Important: Access to Balance Config requires the WFM_BALANCE_CONFIGURATION menu profile on your portal account. Support can't grant this permission. A system or security administrator at your organisation must enable it. If you can't find Balance Config when searching, you're most likely missing this menu permission.
Click WFM Admin Dashboard, then click WFM Config, then click Balance Config.
Select the balance you want to check.
Click FTE Exceptions.
