You can configure your holiday scheme to ensure Attendance Rules apply the correct pay codes and hours for employees on bank holidays, whether they are resting or scheduled to work. Each bank holiday date requires two entries — one for each employee status.

Add bank holiday entries

For each bank holiday date, you must create two entries to cover both employee statuses.

Configure entries for employees scheduled to work

For employees who are scheduled to work on a bank holiday, you need to enable two additional settings on the relevant entry.

  1. Enable Scheduled to Work for the relevant date.

  2. Enable Generated Unapproved Absence to ensure compensatory arrangements are handled correctly.

⚠️Important: Both settings must be enabled for working employees. Without Generated Unapproved Absence, compensatory arrangements may not be applied correctly.
