Job Title Mapping lets administrators group multiple job title variants under one standard reference title in Workforce Management. These variations often occur due to different employment types, legacy setups, or workforce pool structures.

Once configured, all mapped titles are treated as equivalent in Required vs Rostered calculations, providing a more accurate view of staffing coverage across diverse workforce groups.

This feature is available to UK and Irish clients.

Access job title mapping

To open the Job Title Mapping configuration:

  1. Go to the WFM Admin Dashboard.

  2. Select WFM Configuration from the left-hand navigation.

  3. Under Roster Configuration Settings, select Roster Job Title Mapping.

You can also search for "mapping" in the WFM Configuration search bar to locate it quickly.

The Job Title Mapping form

The Job Title Mapping form contains the following fields.

Field

Required?

Description

Job Title

Yes

The job title variant you want to consolidate. Select from the dropdown list of available job titles.

Mapped Job Title

Yes

The reference title to map to. All variants mapped to this title are treated as equivalent in Required vs Rostered calculations.

📌Note: Each row in the Job Title Mapping list shows the job title and its mapped job title. The numbers displayed beneath each title are the job title codes.

Create a job title mapping

To create a new mapping:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Select the Job Title you want to map from the dropdown.

  3. Select the Mapped Job Title from the dropdown.

  4. Click OK.

The new mapping appears immediately in the Job Title Mapping list and takes effect straight away.

Delete a job title mapping

Removing a mapping will stop job titles from being grouped together in calculations.

⚠️Important: Deleting a mapping removes the consolidated grouping. Required vs rostered calculations will revert to treating each job title separately.

To delete a mapping:

  1. Locate the mapping you want to remove.

  2. Select Delete on that row.

  3. Click Yes to confirm.
