It is best practice not to delete an unprocessed leave request but to cancel it instead. This preserves the history but removes it from manager approval queues.
Steps for an employee to cancel their leave request
From the Employee Dashboard, go to the My Requests widget.
Locate the leave request you want to cancel.
Click the three-dot menu next to that request.
Select Cancel.
The request status will change to Cancelled.
The cancelled request will no longer appear in the Managers’ Approvals widget.
If you want to fully delete a request (not recommended), please check your system’s admin policies or raise a support ticket as it may require higher-level permissions.
