You can report on shifts and patterns assigned to an employee using PeopleXD Insight, but there are some limitations you should be aware of.
What can you report on?
What | How | Notes |
Shifts assigned to an employee | Use the Person Shift (Time) folder in Insight | Returns all assigned shifts, not just the current one |
Patterns linked to the shift | Use the Ct Shift Pattern (Data Validation) folder | Shows the daily breakdown of the pattern |
How shift patterns are returned
Shift patterns are broken down by day:
Pattern Name | Typically Represents |
Pattern 1 | First day of the pattern (usually Monday) |
Pattern 2 | Second day of the pattern (usually Tuesday) |
Pattern 3 | Third day of the pattern, and so on |
Things to keep in mind
All shifts will be returned, not just the current one.
You can order by Date Effective (Descending) to show the most recent shift at the top.
Shift overrides are not included in pattern reporting—override patterns will not be picked up.
Summary of limitations
Limitation | Details |
No "current shift only" filter | All shift records are returned |
Overrides not reported | Patterns linked to temporary overrides are not included |
Manual interpretation required | Use ordering and filtering to find the relevant data |
