Use Length of Service (LOS) increments to automatically increase employee holiday entitlement based on service milestones.
Example scenarios
Years of Service | Additional Days Awarded |
After 1 year | +1 day |
After 2 years | +2 days |
πNote: If you set up both increments, employees would receive 3 extra days in total after two years.
Add a new LOS rule
Follow these steps to create a new Length of Service increment:
Go to CoreTime and click System Params.
Click Balances, then select Length of Service Increments.
Click ? to open the LOS increment screen.
Select the relevant LOS code.
Configure the increments
For each LOS rule, enter the following:
Field | Description |
From Months | The starting point for the increment range. |
To Months | The end of the increment range. |
Floating Entitlement | The number of additional days awarded. |
Example 1: One extra day after one year

Set entitlement in hours
If your company awards hours instead of days:
From the Entitlement For field, select Hours.
